As the Vancouver Canucks cleaned out their lockers and met with the media on Thursday following their four-game, first round exit from the playoffs at the hands of the San Jose Sharks, general Manager Mike Gillis said he is ready to make major adjustments to his roster. . "Were going to do a thorough review of everything in the organization. Five years ago we reset. Its time to do it again," said Gillis as he answered questions on lineup changes and head coach Alain Vigneaults future. "There are a couple of significant changes we need to make to get players we need to compete." When asked if goaltender Roberto Luongo would be a member of the team next season, Gillis said it would be, "unlikely." As far as other changes are concerned, Gillis is already aware of the direction he needs to take his roster moves. "If you take Cory as a No. 1 goaltender, hes at the prime of his career; our defence is at their prime," said Gillis. "We need to get younger. "Weve tried offer sheets and trades at deadline. Were going to have to find a bold move." Luongo started the first two games of the series in place of injured keeper Cory Schneider and believes that his time as the No. 1 choice for the Canucks is over. "Whats happened over the last two years suggests that maybe its not my time to be the starter here anymore," said Luongo on Thursday. Luongo added that Schneider was hard pressed to find success trying to get back into the flow of the series after missing the opening games. "Cory was put in a tough spot being asked to play without much practice time after his groin injury," said Luongo. As for his future, Luongo knows he might have to move to another team to get his opportunity. "I still have a lot to give. If its here or elsewhere, that remains to be seen," he said. Luongo does, however, think his place is on the ice and not on the bench. "My main goal is to be a starter, I want to play, he said. "At the end of the day, thats what I want." Schneider, for his part, took some of the blame for the two games the team lost while he was in net. "I didnt get the job done," he said. "I didnt play well enough." Schneider also confirmed that it was a groin injury that forced him out of the first two games of the series. . The showiest items on Calgarys lot were forwards Mike Cammalleri and Lee Stempniak. Both will be unrestricted free agents this summer. . LOUIS -- Alexander Steen scored a power-play goal with 59. . Robredo, ranked No. 16, bounced back from an upset loss to Leonardo Mayer in the second round of the Royal Guard Open in Chile last week to down Carreno Busta in 1 hour, 25 minutes. On a day filled mostly with qualifying matches, fifth-seeded Marcel Granollers of Spain also entered the second with a 7-5, 3-6, 6-2 win over Aljaz Bedene of Slovenia, while Guido Pella of Argentina defeated Guillermo Garcia-Lopez of Spain 7-6 (6), 6-4 to advance. West Coast ruckman Nic Naitanui could make a surprise early return in next weeks AFL clash with Collingwood at the MCG.Naitanui has been grounded since undergoing surgery to remove the plantaris tendons from both of his legs on June 14.The procedure was designed to eradicate the Achilles tendon pain hed been experiencing for most of the season.West Coast initially pencilled in Naitanui to return for the Round 20 clash with Fremantle, or the Round 21 encounter against GWS.But coach Adam Simpson said there was a chance Naitanui would be fit to face Collingwood on Saturday week.Hes one or two weeks away, Simpson told Perth radio station 6PR.Hopefully we might see him around the Collingwood game. Or if not, it would be hopefully the week after.Hes one of our key players that wed like in our side.Eagles midfielder Luke Shuey said Naitanuis looming return wouldd be a big boost. . .I was speaking to him (on Monday) morning. Hes feeling good, and hasnt had any setbacks, Shuey said. The most important thing is hes back for finals. We wont rush him back if hes sore. But I think hes had a pretty smooth run so far.Midfielder Dom Sheed, who was grounded earlier this season with a pectoral tear, is pushing for an AFL recall after making it through three WAFL games unscathed.Defender Eric Mackenzie and Lewis Jetta are others in the mix to return for Saturdays clash with Melbourne at Domain Stadium.Jetta was an unused emergency during last weeks scrappy win over Carlton, but Simpson said the out-of-form wingman may need to go back to WAFL ranks to build up more match fitness and form.
